If you have a question about how to use this site, you have come to the right place!
We will separate this page into two parts, help for employers and help for jobseekers.
FAQ for employers
If you are an employer and have found your way to our site, welcome to the one stop shop for advertising you job in the Canary Islands. Here we will go through how to advertise your vacancy and how to browse through candidates CV’s.
If you would like to advertise a vacancy it will only take a few minutes.
You will first need to create an account with us, to do this click on the ‘Add your Job’ button on the front page or click here. On this page fill out your company information. Make sure to fill out the ‘required’ fields marked with the ‘*’ symbol. Once you have done this you will have created your account and will automatically be logged in to the ‘Career Centre’ control panel from where you can create, modify and delete all your jobs.
Now click on the ‘Post new job’ link from the right sidebar or click here. This will take you through to Step 1 of the process. The page should be pre-populated with the details you have just entered. Unless you want to make any changes, click ‘Continue’.
On the next page (Step 2) you enter the job position details, if there is not a category that fits the position you require, please pick the closest one and request that we create a category that meets your requriements (email us at info@canariesjobs.com). Enter all the rest of the relevant information for the job vacancy and click ‘Continue’.
On the next page (Step 3) you can preview how your jobs will appear and click ‘Back’ if you need to change anything. If all looks OK you can choose the duration on the job and whether you would like it to stand out from the rest by adding bold font or make it featured (featured means it sticks at the top of the listings). Once you have made your choices, click on the ‘Continue’ button.
This will take you to the confirmation page (Step 4) where you can check all your details and enter any discount codes we may have provided you with. If you are happy with all the details, just click ‘Confirm & Pay’ to be taken to the Paypal site where you can pay by any major credit card or with your Paypal account.
Once the payment has been completed you will be returned to your account and your job will automatically appear on the site. You can check by clicking here.

Help for jobseekers
If you are looking for work, we suggest that you create your CV or Resume and upload it to our system. Your resume will then be visible to employers searching the site for suitable candidates.
If you are serious about getting a job in the Canaries, we suggest you read through this document which will give you a head start above the rest!
To upload your resume, follow these steps:
First, click on the ‘Jobs/Resumes’ toggle switch at the top-left hand side of the site to make sure taht you are in ‘Resume’ mode, this puts the site into ‘jobseeker’ mode.
Now click on the ‘Create Resume’ link on the right sidebar and then enter all your details on the next page and click ‘Join now’. This will create your account on our site and allow you to create a resume and apply for jobs.
Now click on the ‘Create Resume’ link on the right sidebar, this will allow you to create your own online CV and take you through a three step process.
Step 1 allows you to create a title for your CV and pick your area of interest regarding work (if there is a category that you would like us to add to the list, please email info@canariesjobs.com and we will manually add it for you). Please note that some categories have sub-categories. Verify your contact information and then press ‘Continue’.
Step 2 allows you to add your experience and education content. Press ‘Continue’ when you have finished.
Step 3 is a confirmation of the details entered and how it will be presented to employers when they view your CV. You are also given the opportunity to make your CV ‘featured’ which will place it above all the other CV’s and allow you to stand out above the other candidates. There is a small cost for this.
When you have finished just click ‘Complete’ and your CV will be visible on the site.
From your ‘jobseeker’ account you will be able to apply for jobs, see how many times your resume has been viewed and make any changes to your CV and resume at any time.
If you would like to create more than one CV or resume, please let us know at info@canariesjobs.com
To apply for a job, make sure you are logged on to your account and click on the Jobs part of the ‘Jobs/Resumes’ toggle switch to make sure you can view the jobs, and if you are logged into your accoutn, you will now see a large blue ‘Apply for this job’ button. Simply click on this button and then enter the required information. You can send your saved resume up upload one stored on your PC and can also write a cover letter and send the job application directly to the employer!
